What post-construction cleaning is
Post-construction cleaning — also called construction cleanup or builder’s cleaning — is the specialized cleaning a property needs after building or renovation work. It goes beyond a normal clean: construction dust settles on every surface and inside vents and cabinets, paint and overspray land where they shouldn’t, and new windows, fixtures, and appliances arrive covered in stickers, film, and residue.
Cleanstate focuses on this work in Houston and the surrounding area. We clean new construction homes, custom builds, remodels, and commercial projects for general contractors, builders, remodelers, developers, and property owners.
Our 3-step construction cleaning process
Rough / initial cleanup
Debris, scraps, packaging, and heavy dust cleared so the site is safer and finishes go in clean. More about rough cleaning.
Detailed cleaning
Every room cleaned top to bottom — dust, overspray, stickers, glass, cabinets, bathrooms, fixtures, trim, and floors.
Final inspection & re-clean
We walk the property and return for touch-ups based on contractor, inspector, or client feedback. More about final cleans.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?
Most projects need two visits: a rough clean once the heavy work is done (often after drywall and before finishes or flooring), and a final clean after the last trade leaves and before inspection or walkthrough. We can also do a single final clean if that’s all the project needs.
Is post-construction cleaning different from regular house cleaning?
Yes. Construction dust is finer and spreads further than household dust, and job sites leave overspray, adhesive, stickers, and debris that regular cleaning doesn’t address. Post-construction cleaning uses different tools, methods, and a more detailed checklist.
Do you clean both homes and commercial spaces?
Yes — new homes, custom builds, remodels, and commercial projects such as offices, retail suites, restaurants, and warehouses.
What do you need from me to quote?
The property address, approximate square footage, whether you need a rough clean, final clean, or both, and your target date. Photos help.
Do you come back after the walkthrough?
Yes. Step three of our process is a final inspection and re-clean based on feedback from the contractor, inspector, or client.
