What a final construction clean is
The final clean is the detailed, top-to-bottom clean at the end of a construction or renovation project. It’s what turns a finished job site into a property that’s ready for inspection, the final walkthrough, closing, or tenant handover — and it’s often the first thing a client notices.
Final clean checklist

- Vents, returns, light fixtures, fans, and switch plates dusted and wiped
- Paint spots, overspray, caulk, and adhesive removed
- Floors cleaned for their material — wood, tile, epoxy, vinyl, or carpet
- Windows and glass detailed; stickers and labels removed
- Cabinets and drawers cleaned inside and out
- Bathrooms and kitchens detailed, including fixtures and appliance exteriors
- Final walkthrough and touch-up re-clean after feedback
Before and after

Preparing for the final walkthrough
A few things make the final clean go smoothly: schedule it after the last trade is finished, let us know about specialty surfaces or manufacturer care instructions, and plan time for a touch-up if punch-list work happens after we clean. Contractors can read more on how we work with GCs and builders.
Need cleanup earlier in the project too? Pair the final clean with a rough clean.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should the final clean be scheduled?
After the last trade has finished and before the inspection, final walkthrough, closing, or tenant move-in. Leave a little time afterward in case punch-list work creates dust and needs a touch-up.
What if the walkthrough finds something?
Step three of our process is a final inspection and re-clean. We come back for touch-ups based on contractor, inspector, or client feedback — and if something within the agreed scope isn’t right, we fix it at no charge.
Do you remove window stickers and protective film?
Yes. Manufacturer stickers, labels, and protective film are removed and the glass, frames, tracks, and sills are cleaned.
How long does a final clean take?
It depends on square footage, finishes, and site condition. We’ll give you a schedule with the quote.
